As a future physician (finishing up my program this year!) I feel responsible for spreading awareness about health and wellness. More importantly, I have to adhere to my own recommendations so that I can better serve my future patients. I started participating in the singer Mya’s vegan challenge last October. While I have a long way to go before being perfect, I can honestly say that I have noticed a positive change in my energy level, skin, and overall outlook on life. Check back for more updates on my journey, and posts about the benefits of certain foods and essential oils!
Is BEING vegan key? Or HOW you vegan?
Sunday January 6, 2019

So I have been trying out the vegan lifestyle since October of 2018. I must say the results were undeniable. Not only did I lose weight (10 lbs to be exact) but I also experienced noticeably increased energy levels, better skin quality, and decreased pain during my menstrual cycle (may be TMI for some of you, but I am sure someone out there will appreciate that level of detail). Having had all these positive changes, it was hard to say I would not at least try to continue the vegan lifestyle.
Now here I am, about 4 months in. I still wanted to take things up a notch, so I decided to consult a personal trainer. He made a meal plan for me that was vegan-based and a workout plan. It is a 12 week program so I will commit to it and see how my fitness improves. I will meal prep as much as possible and share my results along the way!
